At our study centre in Hellesdon we work one-to-one with young people who are disengaged from school or learning for a variety of reasons. Using a very wide range of creative technology we quickly find an area of study which engages them. We then use this activity as a vehicle to explore and challenge aspects and approaches to learning. This work can be pastoral or linked to a syllabus and often will be informed by an EHCP or learning plan.

The beautiful, peaceful setting and our approach of building trust in a one-to-one session allows young people the opportunity to reinvent themselves as someone who is good at something. Each session is followed by a short progress report.

We take referrals from schools,  SENCO's, inclusion services, social workers and health professionals. We start the referral process with a free short taster session so that we, the young person and those making the referral agree on a trial period of sessions. To request a short call to answer any questions please leave your contact details here. To see all of our policies and procedures please click here.

Some of our favourite topics come from questions asked by young people that we explore and learn together. For instance, one young person asked “can I reprogram a Texas calculator so that I can play Doom on it”? Together we discovered, yes you can! To see some of our students' work, click here.
